This post has been requested for some time now and is pretty much what I get asked the most about, besides my skincare routine. Why, I don't know ,because honestly I hate my eyebrows and they are such a pain in the ass to maintain! Long story short, I overplucked when I was younger and have been paying for it ever since. And for some reason, I've had hairs fall out where I haven't even plucked, so now they are more sparse than they used to be. I have to fill them in everyday or else I look weird. :P
So here is a step by step guide to how I do my eyebrows. You obviously don't have to follow what I do, but if you are new to grooming your brows, you can follow what I do and hopefully it helps you :)
This is what my eyebrows look like, done and not done. Obviously I didn't pluck for awhile so that I could show you what they look like-pretty gross huh?
Okay, here we go!
Step 1: I pluck all stray hairs around my brows, and any in between. Make sure you have a really sharp pair of tweezers, and also, pluck right after getting out of the shower, your hair follicles will be open and it will be easier to pull them out. And always to remember to pull in the direction the hair grows in
Step 2: I just started using a brow razor to get rid of any baby hairs that I can't grasp with tweezers. I am using the Ardell Brow Razors (review coming soon!)
Step 3: Using e.l.f.'s Brow Kit in Dark, I use the darker wax to shape and fill in some of the gaps.
Step 4: I used Rimmel's Professional Eyebrow Pencil in #004 Black to fill in the remaining gaps. I also like to use the Anastasia Brow Whiz, but I ran out :(
Step 5: Using the brow powder in the e.l.f Brow Kit, I apply it over the pencil to set it and smooth it out.
Step 6: I use a spoolie to blend it all together and get rid of any clumps or uneveness.
All done! I know it may not seem very difficult, but it's such a pain trying to get both eyebrows to match! And sometimes the pencil or powders get clumpy so I have to keep smoothing them out with the spoolie, which then ends up removing most of it to where I have to keep doing the same steps over and over. If anyone has some magic formula to regrow eyebrows, will you send some my way? :P
Well there you have it, the secret that everyone seems to want to know! Haha, okay maybe not everyone, but at least the people who keep asking me about them :)
