About a week ago I was getting my daily fix of Musings of a Muse's blog when I came across her latest post about Milani's new Perfect Red Lipstick. Supposedly this lipstick is able to change color according to your body's PH levels and adjust to the perfect shade of red for your skintone. How does it do that? I have no idea....but the idea sounded intriguing, plus her photos of the lipstick were what caught my attention because I love the packaging! It looks super fancy, kinda like the Dior Addict lipsticks, with the rounded bottom..thing. Obviously the packaging is all about looks and not functionality :P
Anyways, being the extremely persuable (?) person that I am, I immediately ran to the nearest CVS and got it, because hey, a girl can never have too many red lipsticks right? Just like shoes :P
So here is a swatch of it, this is definitely a verrry vibrant red, not for the meek
And here is the swatch on my lips. In case you guys are wondering, I'm attempting to be more creative with my photography, so please bear with me if I look kinda lame sometimes with my poses :P
I reallly like this lipstick, it's definitely the perfect shade of red if you are trying to look uber sexy and daring. However, I didn't notice it adjust at all, unless the color on my lips was the color that matched my skintone the best., I don't know. The formula is super creamy, almost slippery in fact, and feels very moisturizing. I haven't worn it out yet so I don't know how long it lasts when applied, but a word of warning: once you wipe it off, your lips will be stained for a looong time. So unless you're prepared to have bright red stained lips, do not try this on until you're ready to wear it for good.
What do you guys think? Any thoughts about this product?

Red lipstick looks very good with your complexion! You pull it off so well (: I like the packaging, it's reminiscent of a high-end brand, I can't remember the brand right now... haha.

You is gorgeous honey! How come you aren't modeling? You could do print work. Take your photos from your blogs to an agent and I bet you get signed. Great money even if you do it for part time. I use to model once upon a time but only print as I am short. You really should do it. Don't waste your beauty on just blogs Liana. And I mean that in a very nice way!

omg thank you girls for all the compliments! lol, seriously though, i just lucked out with the pics, i usually look like a bum! i know all you girls could pull off red lipstick too bc you girls are all gorgeous! and plus i believe that there is a shade of red that's perfect for everyone...haha, i sound like the milani ad! :P oh, i didn't realize, but yeah, i guess the first pic is kinda similar to the memoirs of a geisha poster! :)

Thanks for the review. I've been eyeing this at CVS for awhile because I don't have any real red lippies in my collection. The packaging is so nice! The idea of it staining your lips afterwards is kind of putting me off though...
