I have been using Covergirl's Lashblast for a little while now so I thought I should probably do a review. Since I ended up loving it, I couldn't resist getting the Lashblast length as well, since I figured that it would work just as well as the original, plus my other lengthening mascara is pretty much gone.
Obviously, the two are very different in size. The regular one is very fat! It actually took awhile to get used to holding the brush because the handle is so big! I like the Lashblast Length's packaging, I tend to like slimmer designs when it comes to mascaras. I like the fact that the packaging of both are very bright, it makes it easier to spot them in my cluttered makeup drawer :)
First I will review the original Lashblast. Like I said, the package is very wide and round, which can be kind of difficult to handle in the beginning.
Same with the applicator brush, it is very wide and the bristles are really short. At first I had a little trouble applying the mascara because of this, but I have the hang of it now. :)
So what do I think of this mascara? I LOVE it! Seriously! It makes my lashes look so much fuller and darker, and even though it is a volumizing mascara, it does actually lengthen my lashes too, not to extreme lengths or anything, but better than other volumizing mascaras I've tried. I think one of the best things about though is the fact that it doesn't clump whatsoever! You can apply like twenty layers and it still doesn't get clumpy!
Before:
After 2 coats:
And after like 10 coats!:
Rating: 5/5! This definitely is one of the best mascaras I've found so far!
Pros: Volumizing, clump free, lengthening
Cons: The only con I can think of is the packaging and the applicator being so bulky. But once you get used to it, it's no problem.
Would I repurchase? Definitely!!!
Now onto the Lashblast Length! I figured since I loved the original so much, this one had to be just as good.. Uh, wrong! I was so disappointed in this! And it actually took me forever to decide between this one and a different mascara ( I think it was Loreal's Telescopic mascara). I even read really good reviews about this one too :(
The tube is a lot skinnier than the original
So is the applicator...
Here's a comparison of the two-big difference!
Before:
After 2 coats:
After about 10 coats:
It did lengthen my lashes somewhat, but just barely, the original formula lengthened about as much as this one, if not more. It definitely didn't do as good a job as my Maybelline XXL Extensions mascara. And the brush is really tiny and didn't hold onto any product at all, I had to pump the wand up and down in the tube like twenty times and it still barely held onto any formula.
Rating: 3/5! I was really disappointed in this! :(
Pros: Skinny packaging, no clumping
Cons: Formula doesn't do anything, applicator is too small and doesn't hold onto any formula
Would I repurchase? I really don't think so!

Thank you for the reviews on both items. I have Lashblast but haven't use it yet. Hehe!!
your welcome! which one do you have, the original? i really love that one, but i was so disappointed in the other one :( hope you have good luck with whichever one you have!
Wow Lash Blast is very impressive, I might give it a try, I only have one drug store mascara from Rimmels, which I seriously hate right now, but after your review it gave me some confidence to try other drug store mascaras :)
i considered getting the length one but now i plan on not getting it. thx so much for your review! i love lash blast too! i tryed the covergirl mascara recently that is supposed to bring out your eyes...that ones nice too :)
i love the fat one.....i was amazed that it didnt clump!
I have the original one - the Lashblast. ;)
oh wow, the first one looks really good on you! mascara's are so hard to pick. it really depends on your own lashes!
loves
shangeinese: aw, i'm glad, i actually haven't tried any of rimmel's mascaras yet, i heard glam eyes was good though. i really like the original lashblast, and loreal makes really good mascaras, i recommend the voluminousone
fashionista: your welcome, glad it helped! are you talking about the covergirl eyelights mascara? i kind of wanted to try it...how well does it work?
grenade: i know, i loove the fact that you can put on like twenty layers and it still doesn't clump! and you can layer it on top of other mascaras too!
heavenly: good, that one's great, i just don't like the lengthening one though :(
toothfairy: thanks! i know, i always have a hard time deciding which mascara to pick! i have really short and sparse lashes so i am pretty much looking for anything that helps enhance them. i think the next one i want to try is loreal's telescopic mascara, i heard that it's really good for lengthening. hopefully it's better than the lashblast length! :P

yes eyelights one. it works pretty good :)
im not sure it totally brings out your eyes particularly, but i do like it for mascara.
vanessa: lol, that's ok i dont know why it's not working? no worries about spamming :) sure, go ahead and do a review of your own, i dont mind, i like hearing other people's experiences as well :) can't wait to read it!
fashionista: i've thought about trying it, maybe i will eventually. i never really thought it would work to well on super dark eyes, but at least if its a good mascara... :)
