Product Review: Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted or responded to comments in a couple days, my allergies have been getting the best of me, and even now as I write this the left side of my face is all puffy and swollen from watery eyes and a runny nose. But I'm attempting to suffer through it just for you guys :) Haha, if only you could see what I look like now, you wouldn't be complimenting my looks anymore! :P

So anyways, enough about me, let's get onto the review!

I'm going to be reviewing Hard Candy's Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer

This is how the website desribes it:

"Sheer Envy tinted moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight formula with a hint of color you can use in place of foundation for a natural finish and a healthy glowing complexion. With skin protecting SPF 15, the ultimate in anti-aging prevention. "

It's supposed to be sheer enough to let your natural skin show through, and also provide a small amount of sun protection (SPF 15)

Comes in a plastic squeeze tube that contains 1.6oz of product (don't you just love their packaging designs?) I know 1.6oz doesn't sound like a lot, but trust me, a little goes a long way!

This comes in five colors: Light, Fair, Medium, Tan, and Deep. Usually I would go with products that say Medium, but the medium in this line seemd too pink, and the tan had more golden yellow undertones, so I went with that instead

It has a flip top cap that snaps shut tightly and a good sized opening which squeezes the product out easily,  and also makes it very sanitary to use.

Now onto the product itself. It's called a 'Tinted Moisturizer' which usually means it has very sheer coverage and is lightweight. Well this definitely does not feel like a tinted moisturizer at all, in fact it feels just like a foundation, a very thick and creamy foundation. It's definitely not runny at all, and the swatch on my hand where it trails off may look runny, but that's just where I dragged it out from the tube. The description says that you can use this in place of foundation, but to me it's pretty much just like one.

I'm so happy I got the Tan color because it matches pretty freakin' close to my skintone (yeah, I said 'freakin', so sue me! ;P ) It covers very evenly and blends in well without streaking. However, for those who do not 

 like the feeling of heavy foundation, this might be a little too thick for you.

Another thing is the scent-it smells exactly like sunscreen! You know, the strong kinda beachy smell? I myself kinda like the smell of sunscreen, but some may find it a little too strong for their taste. But I think the product's results are worth it. I am actually pretty impressed with this product. Despite it not being quite the tinted moisturizer I thought it was, I am pretty happy with this stuff, it wears very well throughout the day and gives my skin a nice healthy glow with good coverage. The SPF 15 is also an added bonus to this great product, you can never have too much sun protection!

Pros: good coverage, long lasting, SPF 15, nice packaging, inexpensive

Cons: it's definitely too thick to be considered a tinted moisturizer; the sunscreen smell, limited shades
