NOTW & Blog Challenge Updates

I finally got off my lazy ass and painted my nails for the first time in about...3 months? Maybe longer...it was a lot easier since my nails have grown pretty long now, even though I have no idea why since they usually break off immediately. Isn't this color absolutely gorgeous? The pictures don't do it justice, it truly is a beautiful color and perfect for the season change. This polish goes on really easily too and dries quickly...love it! (Ew, please ignore my dry skin, I just got out of the shower)

TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray

  I had been looking for an inexpensive heat protectant spray that also comes with a spray pump for easier application. This stuff is supposed to protect your hair from heat damage and friction caused by hot styling tools (flat irons, blow dryers, and curling irons). It helps my hair become less tangled and feels really light, silky soft and manageable.

Sherbert Colored Nailpolishes

Ever since spring polish collections came out, I've been in love with all the baby pastel and sherbert colors that every collection seemed to include. Actually, I never used to be a fan of them, but then I saw "For Audrey" by China Glaze and that started it all....

Contest Closed & Random FOTD's and NOTW's

Hi everyone, I'm back! Well, for now at least, my bf managed to somehow get my computer working again, but it's still acting up so I don't know how long it'll last. Pray for me :P

So my summer giveaway is officially closed, there are so many entries I can't even begin to count....so please bear with me as I tally them up. As for the problems in my previous post, they have cleared up substantially now and luckily I haven't started peeling yet and it doesn't seem likely that I will-yay! Although it is kinda fun to peel your sunburned skin off....ew I know that's gross but admit it, you do it too :P

Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipcolors in Just Peachy & Rose Bud; Mega Last Nails NOTW

Is it just me or does it seem like drugstore products are really stepping up their games lately? It seems like everyone from NYC to Wet N Wild and in between are coming out with better packaging and higher quality products. Now I'm glad that I'm not the type to stick to only department store brands, because there's quite a few things that I've found at drugstores that could beat out a few of the higher priced items you would purchase at Sephora or some other high end cosmetics place.

For example, Wet N Wild has been revamping quite a few of their items, if not all of them it seems. I remember my mom using this brand when I was younger, and when I got older it was probably one of the first brands I tried because it was so affordable. Once I got a little older howeverr, I started to shy away from it because its packaging and products didn't seem to appeal to me anymore and seemed a little juvenile. However, they have recently produced a couple new items that have been garnering quite a bit of attention lately.

These are their new lipsticks, the Mega Last Lipcolors, and the new Mega Last Nail Polish.

Sorry I've been missing in action lately, I've been stressed out lately due to a number of reasons. Unfortunately, I will still be MIA for awhile because finals are coming up and I desperately need to cram, plus I have other assignments that are due. Also, with the semester ending I need to find a job soon. So I will continue to read and comment on other blogs, but I probably won't be able to blog for awhile, unless it's just a short blurb.

Oh, and you're gonna call me crazy, but I will be redesigning my blog again...I know you guys are probably hella tired of me changing it, but I am the most anal person when it comes to my own work and my banner pictures have been bugging me lately, I just don't like the way they look anymore. Don't ask me why I'm so paranoid about it, that's just my personality. Also, for those of you who follow my personal blog, I am actually going to be deleting it and combining it with this blog, which will also start featuring more fashion, my personal life, and other misc. things. Although beauty will be the main subject, I find it difficult sometimes to just blog about beauty products when I am interested in so many other things as well and it's hard keeping track of two blogs. I hope this doesn't deter you guys from continuing to read my blog and I hope you will still enjoy it.

Thanks for all your continued support, and I'll leave you with my latest NOTW. It's from Forever 21's Love & Beauty line, this one's called "Olive". In real life it definitely looks more olive toned, but in this picture it looks gold. I'm not sure if I like it, it's a very odd color.

I loove this color! This is by Sinful Colors and I can't think of the name right now but I'm too lazy to go check :P I got it at Walgreens, they have a great selection of colors and they are only $1.99

Here's a little better picture, you can somewhat see the subtle gold shimmer in it. I like this color because it's not too pastel-y for me

Before I go, I just had a quick question: as I mentioned in my other recent posts, I am in the process of making more videos for product reviews, tutorials, etc, and I was just wondering, when you watch tutorials on YouTube, do you prefer when they are talking and explaining the steps, or when they just play music and list the steps on the bottom of the screen? I would do voiceovers, but I don't have a microphone...please let me know! I actually just finished one and will be uploading it soon.

NOTW: Etude House

Here is just a quick nail post, it's been forever since I've actually done anything with my nails. I couldn't sleep last night and painted them at like 5am. ( I didn't go to bed until 7am!)  I know, I'm crazy!

Love this color! It's from Etude House, I don't know if it has a name, I couldn't find one. My sister sent it to me awhile ago from Korea in her love package. It's so pretty and sparkly and works great over my pink NYC polish which has kind of dried up a bit, so by adding the sparkle on top you can't even tell.

Haha, and just for laughs, you can tell how tired I was when I was painting them

I somehow managed to skip an entire nail! Not only did I not paint it, but I how did I not remember to remove the old polish? That is what a lack of sleep will do to ya :P
