Ramblings...

So here's just a couple things I wanted to ramble about, no particular categoies, hence the name of this post

First off, thank you to everyone for your compliments about my new layout. I really like it! It looks much cleaner and it's way easier to read. It also loads a lot faster too! I was a little hesitant to put my pictures in the banner because I didn't want you guys to think I was being conceited or someting, but at the same time, I'm one of those people who never really feel like they're that pretty most of the time, so when I finally get a good picture I like to show it, kinda as a way of saying, "See? I can be pretty sometimes, I'm not always looking like a bum!" I'm sure some of you have felt the same way :P So thank you again for all your nice comments!

Second, I was at Sally's Beauty Supply and I happened to find this eyelash curler. It's by Tweezerman, the same brand who makes the really good tweezers.

Anyways, it's called like a super deluxe curler or something and you're supposed to heat it with your hair dryer for a couple seconds to make your lashes curl better and last longer. I tried it out without heating it and surprisingly it seems to work pretty well on my lashes!  As you all know I have the typical sparse, stick straight lashes and this does a pretty good job. Obviously my lashes are not going to curl as well as other non Asian people's lashes, but for what I have it works pretty well. Haha, it kinda looks like a torture device, no wonder guys are so confused about girls' makeup and tools!

And lastly, I was given this award by Irene. Thank you so much Irene, this award is so cute! You guys should check out her blog, it's so cute and she's gorgeous! Thanks again! ;)

I know I'm supposed to tag some people but I'm really tired now, so I tag everyone! Feel free to post this on your own blogs! Oh, and for those of you who tagged me for the "My own cosmetics line" tag, don't worry I'll get around to it, I am actually having a hard time thinking of what I would do! :P

I'm off to do a tutorial, I will be posting it in a litle bit. Stay tuned!

P.s. Oh I have a question which might be kinda stupid but just humor me-I'm trying to re-organize my posts with different categories and tags, am I supposed to use the same names for the categories and tags? For example, if I label the category 'tutorial' do i use the same name for the tag? And when people use the search bar to look for certain items, is the word they type in gonna pop up related posts according to the catogory or tag? I'm so confused...please help?

*Update: Okay I am almost done re-filing my posts, but to be honest I have a feeling I am making it even more confusing for myself. Oh well, I'm not gonna go back and redo it again! Some of my posts are now in different places now and since I started from my most recent posts and went backwards, some of my older posts are now showing up as more recent ones, just to let you know if you were looking for a recent post....:P

Random Finds, Formspring, and Giveaway Update

I have been on the search for a new eyelash curler lately and even though I want to try Shu Umuera's legendary curler, I really don't want to pay $25 or whatever it costs because I don't curl my eyelashes everyday. So the other day when I was visiting my sister we stopped at Walgreens (the same day when I got the stuff in my haul ) and she was looking for an eyelash curler as well and she spotted one by Sally Hansen. Except this one was different because it was a double eyelash curler. What? I didn't even know what that was, and it kinda confused me at first :P But then I saw that it had a double bar which curls your lashes in two places at once! That's so cool! But as luck would have it, it was the last one in stock and my sister got it :( So when I got back home I went to my Walgreens and they had it in stock, so I bought it, yay!

See, it has a double bar that curls in two places, instead of having to pinch once, then move it up and pinch again

I love this thing! It doesn't pinch my lids like normal ones do, and it takes less time! The only thing is the handles, without the rings your fingers can slip, so you have to be careful. Other than that, I am sold on this thing! :)

Another random palette I found was at Ross again (I'm such a Ross whore, what can I say, I'm cheap!) but this one was better than the last one I found (click here to see the other one I found). This one came in a nice book style palette with a fake reptile skin and a magnetized closure, which is definitely easier to handle and open and close

This palette is great! All of the colors are gorgeous and have pretty decent pigmentation. They are all shimmery too, I guess I'm stuck with more shimmery shadows again :P They actually blend pretty well too, here is a quick look at one of the colors I wore the other day

I think this was only one layer of color, I didn't have to keep applying more!

I love finding new things! Especially ones that are easy on my wallet :)

Okay, makeup talk aside, I have added a Formspring box at the top of the page on the right hand side, so all of you nosy people feel free to interrogate me on whatever you want :P

And as for the giveaway, I have decided to change the date that it ends. I realized that I only gave like 2 1/2 days to enter, which for those who do not get on the computer everyday, it's not really fair. So the giveaway will end on February 13, 2010 and the winner will be announced on February 14th, Valentine's Day. I hope this doesn't create a problem for anyone, if so, please let me know, and this actually makes it a little easier on me because I'll have more time to prepare the final package and other details. So please bear with me! And for those who have entered and started following my blog, thank you sooo much! I appreciate all the comments and suggestions.:)

Have a good night everyone!
