Giveaway Question

So I am still new to this whole blogging thing, but I have really enjoyed reading everyone's blogs, and I noticed that a lot of you do giveaways, which I think are really cool (and gracious!). I have been thinking about doing one when I reach a certain amount of followers, let's say, oh, 25? Or maybe do a giveaway each time I get 25 more followers? What do you think?
